OCT 14-2012: Day 2 

Honestly, I really don't expect that I can be able to attend this event.. I have my departmental exam in Accounting on this day at 9:00-12:00 PM. My sister told me that she's going to attend because she want to get some idea for her thesis about Cultural War between JPOP and KPOP. I envy her. Luckily, I finish my exam before 11pm and made up my mind that I want to attend this event with her.

We arrived at the venue at exactly 1PM. I was shock to see many KPOP Fans. As we enter the venue , all I can see is stuff with the face and name of KPOP artists. I saw the big screen playing KPOP songs/music videos.  That's the time that we realize that the 2nd day event was for all KPOP Fans and that we missed the 1st day event which is exclusively for us JPOP Fans. I'd never imagine that I can attend a pure KPOP Convention. Well, "I don't want to waste our entrance fee oneechan so we better finish the event", I said to my sister.

KPOP Singing contest is starting. Well I think that the contestant really did their best". Omedetou!

 

Then we started taking pictures. Hai! just the two of us, You know what we feel being the only JPOP Fans in that event. T__T We're so out of place. But, it's good that my oneechan now even a little KPOP songs and artists that we can relate to.

Kyaaa~ I never imagine that I can also enjoy the event despite of feeling out-of-place.
The Individual KPOP Cosplay Competition is really fun. We laugh so much. Some cosplayers are funny. They really gave their best in order to win the contest. For me the bests cosplay are Psy with the background Music Gangnam style and Rain 

Ohhh.. I feel so bored and out of Place na talaga while seeing all KPOP Fans who are yelling so loud ..shouting the name of their IDOLS..>__< That's why I decided to took a picture with my Yama-chan :) xD

Next, is the KPOP Dance Contest!! Sugoii! :) There's a lot of good dancers who join the contest :) But, I like JPOP  Dancer more :)

On November 14, 2011, Japanice Productions held the first ever J-Pop event in the Philippines, entitled "J-Pop Festival: Kick-Off Party!" This mini event aimed to test the power of J-Pop followers for a much bigger event. Since K-Pop has become the latest pop phenomenon sweeping the Philippines, the event turnout was surprisingly amazing! An overwhelming number of J-Pop fans marched to Cinema 10 of SM Megamall and filled the venue almost to max capacity.

Due to the overwhelming support from all J-Pop fans, partners and sponsors, Japanice Productions will hold the Philippines’ first grand J-Pop event, entitled "J-POP FEST: THE GRAND EVENT", on March 11, 2012 at the Megatrade Hall 1, SM Megamall from 10:00am – 9:00pm.

The festival aims to be the largest gathering of all J-Pop enthusiasts in celebration of the Japanese pop culture music, fashion, art and its influence. The 11 long hour festival is highlighted by a variety of fun Japanese pop-inspired attractions including dance contest, singing contests, fashion shows, live band performances, cosplay, Ramen eating contest, J-Dorama and J-Pop Trivia and Games, Japanese food and merchandize and a lot more.

Almost 80 contest participants will heat up the stage to showcase their talent and love for J-Pop. A variety Filipino musicians/band from genres such as J-Rock and J-Pop will make some noise in the Band Battle Royale. Local Fan Clubs representing J-Pop Idols and Idol Groups will also participate in the festival and they will put up an exhibit showcase to allow attendees to learn more about their idols.

This much awaited J-POP festival is surely a must-attend event for all Filipino enthusiast of Japanese popular culture and music!

hahaha..since JPOPasia had already made a review about the JPOP Festival Grand Event..I'll just posts some photos and a short story of what I had experienced in that event! :)

Well, How can I describe my feelings after attending this event??..Uhmm.. FANTASTIC!! and  ENJOYABLE!! I'm glad that I had given a chance to attend this event!! It was really Fun.. :) I can't stop Flailing!! kyaaaaaaaaa~ Speacially when I heard and hear all the Song of my different JPOP idols!! I met many new fangirl and fanboy friends.. :) This is where I met my fandom imouto(Sanoko-the girl in the left side of the photo above)..  :) She's with us during the whole event.. Next.. I think i had lost my voice because of my NON-STOP screaming every time I saw the latest music video of my idols in the big screen.. The event was really a succes!!
